About Ralph Stark
I’m an analog photographer based in the Hudson Valley, New York, specializing in abstract landscape photography and visual studies of the everyday environment. My work explores abstraction within nature and urban spaces, using strong graphic elements, light, and form to transform familiar scenes into compelling compositions. By combining traditional film photography with modern digital post-production, I blend classic darkroom techniques with contemporary approaches to express my creative vision. My artistic influences include Saul Leiter, Aaron Siskind, Alvin Langdon Coburn, and Edward Steichen, whose explorations of tone, texture, and abstraction continue to inspire my practice.
